Skincare before the wedding – Create your own schedule

Every bride wants to look like a million dollars on the day of her wedding. Sadly, not all of us have smooth, even, and beautiful skin. What should you do when you deal with acne and the wedding day is just around the corner? Check out below!

If you want to avoid surprises that can appear on the face on your wedding day, you have to take care of your skin accordingly early. Create your skincare schedule and make sure it’s pampered comprehensively. See below how to do just that.

When should you begin the skincare?

Pre-wedding skincare should begin appropriately early. An hour before the big moment you can only put on a sheet mask and pray for a miracle. You can also use the option offered by last-minute beauty treatments but there are some flaws to this solution – it’s a more expensive option, depends on whether the beautician is available, and it won’t help with all problems.

What should you do then? You should prepare your action plan early on. Just like you order your wedding gown and flowers much earlier, you should also just sit down and create a schedule for the pre-wedding skincare. It needs to include your skin’s individual needs, your budget, and available options. How should it look like?

Pre-wedding skincare schedule

It all should start three months before the wedding, more or less. This is when you should start planning your skincare, especially considering that some skin problems require many weeks to get rid of. The things you should do in the meantime, among many:

  • plan the budget that you can spend on the skincare,
  • determine the most prominent skin problems that you deal with,
  • choose the right cosmetics and treatments,
  • buy necessary products and skin care accessories.

2 months before

When it’s two months before the wedding day you should start regular exfoliation (with enzymatic or fine particles exfoliator), but also you should start the use of face serum which is a cosmetic with intense action. If you deal with problems such as hyperpigmentations, you should brighten the skin using a serum with vitamin C or retinol. When it comes to acne, you should keep in mind that some medication and cosmetics need to be used for many weeks for the expected effects to appear.

1 month before

It is the time when first results of skincare should appear. If there is an area of your face that you cannot manage because the cosmetics you were using seem to not work, you still have time to do something about it and adjust your skincare to the skin’s condition. In the meantime, you should make sure that the skin is properly moisturized. Remember that moisturized skin equals radiant, glowing, and beautiful skin.

1 week before

On a week before the big day, you can only use moisturizing face serum or sheet mask. It’s the wrong time to use cosmetics with intense properties such as retinol, exfoliator, dermabrasion. In other words, all that could regenerate the skin – it might have not enough time to calm or regenerate before the big day.
